Blonde Brownies

Oh I love Blonde Brownies!  This recipe was written down on school notebook paper years ago.  It is butter stained, scribbled on and has been crumpled up many times.

It is a tried and true recipe. They are very, very rich and finger-licking good.  You need this recipe so here, for your chocolatey/butter cravings are Blonde Brownies.

1 cup melted butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Chopped walnuts
Chocolate chips

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Then add the dry ingredients.

Did you know that baking by candelight is really fun!

Stir in the nuts and chocolate chips, by hand.

Spread batter in a 13x9 cake pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Sorry I didn't get a picture of the finished product.

We all ate them too fast!
